"Hi — saw on the news there's a big romaine recall (E. coli, some California grower). We get romaine hearts from you every week. Are we OK? Do we need to pull anything? Three of my managers have already asked me. — Dave, Harvest Table Restaurants"

What we know:
- FDA press release 9/22/2026: Verdant Fields Farms, Salinas CA, recalling Romaine Hearts 12/3ct and Whole Head Romaine 24ct, UPCs 8 33445 00121 9 and 8 33445 00122 6, "Best if used by" 9/20 through 9/30, distributed to CA, AZ, NV, OR, WA. E. coli O157:H7.
- Our romaine hearts are Sunfield Produce SF-ROM24, 12/3 ct, grown in Yuma AZ per Sunfield. Sunfield emailed us at 8:40am confirming in writing they do not source from Verdant Fields and none of their lots are affected.
- Our catalog has no UPC for the Sunfield item.
- We're in Ohio.
